4 Year Olds (Pre-K) and Kindergarten Class
Pre-K & Kindergarten Classes use Abeka’s curriculum for language. It’s a systematic and thorough approach to learning phonics, and it has been successfully training young readers for more than 40 years. With a solid foundation for developing exceptional reading skills, students begin reading actual words very early. The day-to-day lesson plans for the entire year provides daily reviews and a variety of learning experiences: character-building stories that correlate with the phonics concepts they have already learned, daily seatwork activities that include words with special sounds (phonics rules) and sentence comprehension, and penmanship practice. Kindergarten Class will have handwriting books to correlate with basic phonic program to learn and review phonics as they practice correct writing formation. “Saxon Math” is used for the Pre-K and Kindergarten Curriculums. “Saxon Math” is a complete and effective program, with a balanced and multisensory approach that develops concepts through hands-on activities and rich mathematical conversations that actively engage students in the learning process. Children move from the concrete to the pictorial to the abstract. The materials gently develop concepts, and the practice of those concepts is
extended over a considerable period. This develops nurture confidence with a gradual,
“building block” approach.

- Toddlers Class uses “Hands-On” Bible Curriculum. It includes unique games, crafts, and “hands-on” activities to help kids learn about God’s attributes.
- 2- and 3- Years Old Class uses “The Story of God and His People—God’s Family.” Children will experience Bible stories through active involvement and immediate multisensory experiences.
- Pre-K and Kindergarten use “Purposeful Design.” The curriculum covers a broad understanding of the Bible: God’s creation, Jesus’ love and miracles, God’s People from the Old and New Testament, and including daily real-life application.
Weekly chapel services are held every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:00am. The entire school attends in green School Uniform. We share God’s Word with the
children through Bible story and Bible songs. In the classroom, we spend time praying for and with the children, we teach and encourage each child to pray individually, pray for themselves, their families, classmates, teachers, school, and our community.
We do not adhere to any specific denominational point of view. Rather, we teach God’s Word as it is written in the Bible, teaching the Bible stories as historical facts and Jesus’ divinity as truth. We also teach children to develop Christian character traits such as love, kindness, patience, self-control, etc. It is our goal that each child in our school comes to know Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior and to receive His love for them. We want each child to know that he or she is a precious and unique creation of our loving God.
